The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barat looks to land a combination but Cornholio avoids it well.
Barat misses with a two punch combination.
Barat throws a nice looking combination but Cornholio bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A leg kick checked by Cornholio.
Barat lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Tee Pee Cornholio has been cut.
Cornholio shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barat pinned against the cage. Barat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cornholio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barat as he jumps to the side.
Barat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cornholio dodges the punch combination from Barat.
Cornholio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barat but Barat pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carl Barat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tee Pee Cornholio.
Cornholio takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Barat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carl Barat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cornholio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barat is fending him off so far but Cornholio persists. Nope, Barat circles away and we're back to standing.
A punch combination from Cornholio misses.
Barat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cornholio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Barat throws a series of punches but Cornholio moves out of range.
Barat throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cornholio.

Cornholio looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cornholio uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barat.

Cornholio shoots in and drives through. Barat sprawls well.
Barat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barat looks to land a combination. Cornholio sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Cornholio is rocked!
Cornholio avoids a punch combination nicely.
Barat fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barat closes the distance and lands a one-two.

That has opened up Tee Pee Cornholio's cut even more.
Barat tries to land a front kick but Cornholio steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Barat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barat misses with a hook.
Cornholio moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cornholio shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Barat shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Cornholio tries to keep at a distance but Barat has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cornholio keeps control of Barat as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Barat throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Cornholios head.

Barat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barat connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Cornholio tumbling to the canvas! Barat pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Cornholio was done - good stoppage!
