The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunham misses with a body shot.
Dunham throws a head kick but Jony moves out of range.
Jony bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jony shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dunham as he jumps to the side.
Dunham throws a series of punches but Jony moves out of range.

Dunham throws a series of punches but Jony avoids them all with ease.
Dunham tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jony looks for a takedown but Dunham sprawls well.
Jony shoots in for a takedown but Dunham shows good takedown defense.

Dunham lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jony circles away quickly and effectively.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dunham cracks Jony with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dunham goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Dunham throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jony fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dunham sprawls well initially but Jony persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jony is looking to advance position but Dunham won't allow it.
Dunham throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jony is trying to control the action in half guard but Dunham is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dunham desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dunham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jony drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dunham manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jony has Dunham in his guard.

Jony escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dunham gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dunham has cracked Jony with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dunham lands another huge swinging hook and Jony tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Jony, before Dunham can land any more shots!
