Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewey Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Homer Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Homer Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cox uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cox doesn't seem phased though.

Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cox throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jackson on the side of the head.
Cox throws a series of strikes that have Jackson backpedaling.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Cox here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Cox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jackson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Well Cox has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
