And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivel swinging wilding here.
Kivel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reynolds fails with a takedown attempt.
Donk. Reynolds catches Kivel right on the button with a cross.
Cyril Kivel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kivel is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Reynolds.


It looks like Cyril Kivel has been cut.
Kivel lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kivel.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reynolds misses with a few strikes there.

Kivel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reynolds walks away with a smile on his face. Kivel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Reynolds escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kivel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Reynolds counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kivel!
Kivel tries to lock up and control but Reynolds gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reynolds pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Reynolds has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kivel is wriggling around trying to escape.

Reynolds lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kivel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reynolds is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kivel has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Reynolds is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kivel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kivel is squirming around, avoiding Reynolds's attempts to control the action.

Kivel is in all sorts of trouble here.

Reynolds is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kivel has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kivel!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reynolds is pulling down on Kivel's head. It's preventing any offense from Kivel, at least for the moment.

Kivel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reynolds just stands there and leans against the cage.

Reynolds wants to break free but Kivel has control.

Reynolds has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kivel uses from the top position.

I've got Reynolds winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
