Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between bart simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omar Hernandez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
simpson thows a body shot but no joy.
Hernandez closes the distance and clinches up with simpson, looking for a takedown. Hernandez pushes simpson against the cage but simpson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hernandez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. simpson defends it nicely.
Hernandez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

simpson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hernandez is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

simpson is pressing down on Hernandez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hernandez is holding on for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
simpson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

simpson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

simpson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
