Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dutch Rudderme!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinn Marion!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudderme shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marion but Marion pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marion gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rudderme counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Marion!
Rudderme scoring with strikes but Marion is staying in there.
Rudderme avoids the attempt from Marion to control.
Rudderme knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marion on the ground.
Rudderme fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Rudderme goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Marion is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rudderme is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Marion wants to pass the guard but Rudderme is keeping the position.

Rudderme kicks Marion off and gets to his feet.

Rudderme wants to clinch up but Marion keeps it at a distance.
Marion shoots in for a takedown but Rudderme shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rudderme throws a wild body kick that Marion sees coming a mile off.
Marion is looking to clinch.
Marion closes the distance and clinches up with Rudderme, looking for a takedown. Marion pushes Rudderme against the cage but Rudderme circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dutch Rudderme has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinn Marion.
Rudderme explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Rudderme lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Marion looks gassed!
Rudderme tries to clinch but Marion is having none of it.
Marion misses with a two punch combination.

Rudderme shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marion is trying to defend but Rudderme finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Marion is trying to maintain the position but Rudderme is very close to passing his half guard.

Rudderme is just content to waste time from the top position. Marion takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Marion is trying to control the position but Rudderme postures up.

Marion is looking for a triangle but Rudderme pushes his legs off easily.

Marion looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rudderme lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rudderme has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marion is proving hard to escape from.
Rudderme pushes down on Marion's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Marion wants to control but Rudderme is keeping busy and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rudderme slows the pace down in half guard.

and Marion counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marion.

Marion wants to pass the guard but Rudderme is keeping the position.
Rudderme keeping moving, preventing Marion from controlling successfully.

Marion drops back looking for a leg! Rudderme is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rudderme manages to kick Marion off! Marion jumps back into Rudderme's guard.
Rudderme is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marion thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rudderme gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Marion counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marion.
Rudderme on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rudderme tries to get out of the position.
Rudderme looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Marion puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Marion is trying to control. Rudderme wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Rudderme trying to control here.
Rudderme tries to get to full guard but Marion has control of the leg.

Marion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rudderme doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marion.

Marion is looking to take a break and control but Rudderme is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Marion is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Rudderme has managed to free his arm - good work.
Marion passes the guard and advances to mount!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rudderme is trying to escape the mount.

Marion is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Marion extends the arm and Rudderme is forced to tap!
