Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, dMarcus Carlton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Pursey!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pursey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pursey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pursey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pursey shoots in and drives through. Carlton sprawls well.
dMarcus Carlton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Pursey.
Pursey misses with a takedown attempt - Carlton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pursey shoots for a double leg takedown but Carlton sprawls well. He's pushed Pursey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carlton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pursey.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carlton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pursey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlton's waist but Carlton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pursey off to one side.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pursey has a takedown stuffed.
Pursey looks gassed!
Pursey shoots in looking for a takedown. Carlton tries to sprawl out of it but Pursey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carlton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carlton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pursey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Carlton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pursey will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Carlton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Pursey is trying to escape and Carlton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Pursey is forced to tap! Nice work there by Carlton! Very nice indeed!
