The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fredrick shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fredrick is looking to work some ground and pound but Perii has wrist control.
Perii is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fredrick passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Perii is looking for a sweep.

Fredrick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fredrick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fredrick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fredrick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perii is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Perii is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Perii tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fredrick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fredrick throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Perii is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Perii is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Perii's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Perii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fredrick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fredrick is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perii has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perii is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fredrick has a takedown stuffed.
Fredrick drops Perii with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Perii looks back up at him and smiles so Fredrick waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Perii is still on wobbly legs! Can Fredrick finish him?

It looks like Hukka Perii has been cut.

Fredrick closes the distance looking for a takedown. Fredrick picks Perii up and slams him brutally to the floor. Perii is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
