The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mortensson has Aho up against the cage in a clinch.
Aho wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Aho is trying to force a seperation but Mortensson has the dominant position.

A frustrated look appears on Aho's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mortensson manages to pull guard.

Aho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mortensson is looking for a triangle but Aho pushes his legs off easily.

Aho decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mortensson on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

It looks like Jesse Mortensson has been cut.

Mortensson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aho did well to prevent Mortensson getting side control.

Mortensson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aho sees it coming and defends easily.

Mortensson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Aho throws a shot from downtown. Mortensson moves away and avoids it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aho falls off balance throwing a combination

and Mortensson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Mortensson is trying to control. Aho wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Aho wants to get back to his feet.
Mortensson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mortensson trying to mount his opponent but Aho defends it.
Aho is not content to let Mortensson control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mortensson is nestled in close to Aho, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mortensson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Aho tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mortensson!
