Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Capture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capture has chosen "Soul Survivor" - Young Jeezy ft. Akon as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Capture!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen stuffs the takedown.
Capture takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Allen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Capture takes a kick to the side of the head.
Capture avoids a punch combination nicely.
Allen stuffs the takedown.
Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Allen lands a head kick!

Capture looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Allen!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Capture goes for an armbar but Allen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Allen.

Capture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Allen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Allen is breathing heavily.

Capture looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allen is one step ahead there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Capture can do anything to dispel that myth.

Allen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Capture has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Allen has managed to get both his arms back between Capture's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Allen stands and steps away. Capture gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Capture takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Capture lands with a hook. Allen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Capture has managed to clinch.
Allen connects with a knee to the head.
Capture is working for takedown but Allen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bob Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Capture.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Allen obliges.
Capture has Allen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Allen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Allen landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Allen gets underhooks to prevent Capture's takedown attempt.

Allen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bob Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen lands a head kick!
Allen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Capture moves in looking to clinch but Allen pushes him off.
Capture pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Capture moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Capture looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A big right from Capture misses.
Capture fails in his attempt to clinch.
Allen tries a head kick but it misses.
Capture blocks the body kick.
Capture connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Capture shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Allen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Allen.
Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Capture manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Capture's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Allen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Capture tries to score a power double leg takedown but Allen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Capture somewhat.
Capture throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Allen moves away from the strike by Capture.
Capture tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Allen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Allen tries a head kick but it misses.
Allen blocks a low kick nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Capture is defended easily by Allen.
Allen scores with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Capture shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Capture gets to his feet - Allen follows without any prompting.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Capture closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Capture lands in his opponent's guard.

Capture decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Allen, up you get!
Capture shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Allen but Allen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bob Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Capture.

Allen has Capture up against the cage in a clinch.
Allen unloads a knee to the mid-section. Capture lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Capture avoiding damage as Allen throws knees to the body.
Allen is pressed up against the cage. Capture has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Allen down to the mat. Allen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Capture throws a left and a right that both miss
and Allen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Capture is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Capture has a takedown stuffed.

Capture shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Capture stands up and waves to Allen to follow him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Allen stuffs the takedown.

Allen instigates a clinch.
Capture looking for a takedown.
Capture works on Allen's body with a couple of short punches.
Allen is pressed up against the cage. Capture has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Allen down to the mat. Allen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Capture throws a hook but Allen avoids it easily.
Capture tries to clinch but Allen moves away
and Allen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Allen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Allen throws a head kick that misses

and Capture counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Allen wants to control but Capture is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Capture seems to be looking for submissions.
Allen wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Capture is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terry Capture showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Capture misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Capture moves in looking to clinch but Allen pushes him off.

Allen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Capture is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Allen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Allen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Allen lands a head kick. Capture smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Capture moves in looking to clinch but Allen pushes him off.
Allen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Capture looks for a takedown but Allen sprawls well.
Bob Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Capture.
Allen lands with a slapping head kick.
Capture will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Capture gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Allen counters with a big head kick but Capture shrugs it off.

Allen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Capture.
Capture misses with a takedown attempt - Allen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Capture takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Capture shoots in looking for a takedown. Allen tries to sprawl out of it but Capture keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Allen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Capture wants to clinch.
Capture shoots in but Allen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Capture fails with a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Capture takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Allen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Capture blocks a head kick by Allen.
Allen tries a head kick but it misses.

Capture throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Allen was covering up waiting for the punch and Capture finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Capture stands up from Allen's guard - Capture perhaps looking for a knockout.

Capture shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Allen looking to control.
Allen wants to stand and escape but Capture is having none of it.

Capture is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Allen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Allen has escaped and now he's on top!

Capture is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Capture is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Allen is aware though and is defending well.
Allen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Capture is keeping the position for now.
Capture manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Allen manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Terry Capture.
I think Capture has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
