Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Slow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and lavar hingeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). lavar hingeman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Slow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, lavar hingeman!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slow keeps the fight on the outside.
lavar hingeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Slow misses with a head kick.
hingeman gets caught flat footed, as Slow shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Slow pushes down on hingeman's leg and manages to get into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if hingeman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Slow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. hingeman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

hingeman tries to close the distance and clinch but Slow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Slow closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Slow winds up and cracks hingeman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Slow is trying to work for a kimura but hingeman is defending well.

Slow is trying to control. hingeman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
hingeman has hold of Slow's hands but Slow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Slow drops back looking for a leg! hingeman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and hingeman manages to kick Slow off! Slow jumps back into hingeman's guard.
hingeman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slow is one step ahead there.

Slow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Slow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Slow is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. hingeman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Slow gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. hingeman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Slow lets go of the hold and hingeman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Slow!
