Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Rolle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rolle comes to the cage accompanied by capsule - jumper. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rolle paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A jab from Rolle misses.
Rolle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva tries for a takedown but Rolle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva forces Rolle back against the cage and clinches.

Silva throws the left hand but Rolle avoids the punch easily.

Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rolle is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Rolle circles away and we're back to standing.
Xavier Rolle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Silva.
Rolle leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Rolle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rolle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silva thinking.
Rolle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

Silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Silva has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rolle finds it's way round the side to connect with Silva's head.

Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rolle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Rolle's legs - danger averted.

Rolle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rolle.
