Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johhny Hartland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johhny Hartland!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rees blocks a head kick by Hartland.
Rees scores with a one two! Hartland had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hartland takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rees swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rees tries to bum rush Hartland with a series of wild strikes but Hartland uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hartland shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rees but Rees pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hartland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rees's guard.

Hartland tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rees swats him away and circles back towards the center.

It looks like Johhny Hartland has been cut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
