Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Lindsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herbie Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindsey comes into the arena with Californication - RHCP blaring out of the sound system. Hawkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: My Sacrifice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Lindsey!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Herbie Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Hawkins.

Lindsey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lindsey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hawkins defends it well.

Hawkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hawkins wants it to stay on the feet.

Hawkins drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lindsey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lindsey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lindsey!

A close third round but Herbie Hawkins just about did enough to take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
