Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Squeezy Snapperton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Squeezy Snapperton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Henry!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snapperton misses with a body kick.
Snapperton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henry defends it nicely.
Snapperton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Henry sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Snapperton shoots in for a double leg but Henry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Squeezy Snapperton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Henry as Snapperton shoots in.
Henry throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Snapperton.

Henry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snapperton is trying to defend but Henry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Henry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Snapperton sees it coming and defends easily.

Henry is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Snapperton wants to sweep but no luck.

Henry has gone for a leg lock! Snapperton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Henry's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snapperton drops back looking for a leg! Henry is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henry manages to kick Snapperton off! Snapperton jumps back into Henry's guard.
Snapperton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snapperton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Henry is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Henry seems keen to control Snapperton's posture.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Snapperton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Snapperton is looking to clinch.

Henry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Snapperton is trying to control Henry's posture but Henry avoids it.
Henry tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Snapperton tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Henry throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Snapperton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Henry counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Snapperton's guard now.

Snapperton is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Henry has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Snapperton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Henry is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mike Henry will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Henry closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Snapperton did well to prevent Henry getting side control.

Henry is looking for a sweep. Snapperton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

and Henry decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Snapperton's guard.

Henry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snapperton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Squeezy Snapperton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Snapperton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Henry is trying to stand up here but Snapperton is controlling him well.

Snapperton seems to be working for a kimura but Henry defends the submission attempt.
Snapperton wants to pass to mount but Henry is defending the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Snapperton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henry keeps working.
Henry tries to roll over but Snapperton keeps him under control.
Snapperton is pressing down on Henry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Henry is holding on for now.
Henry is refusing to be controlled, as Snapperton sits in half guard.
Snapperton stops Henry from getting back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Snapperton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Henry counters with a nice double leg into side control. Snapperton won't be happy with that.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Henry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Henry has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
