Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Matt Rugg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle throws a big shot that misses.
A slow jab from Castle misses its intended target.
Rugg pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Castle misses with a looping right.
An inside leg kick lands from Rugg.
Rugg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rugg is looking to clinch but Castle is avoiding it.

Castle closes the distance and clinches up with Rugg, looking for a takedown. Castle pushes Rugg against the cage but Rugg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Castle misses with a few strikes there.
Castle keeps the fight on the outside.

Castle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rugg's half guard.

Rugg is defending against the submission attempts here by Castle.

Castle wants to free his trapped foot but Rugg is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Castle thows a huge punch but Rugg dodges it nicely.
Rugg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castle on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Castle swats away the attempt to clinch by Rugg.
Rugg moves in looking to clinch but Castle pushes him off.
Castle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rugg circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice straight punches there by Castle. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Castle.
Nice defenses there by Rugg.
Rugg walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rugg throws a head kick that Castle semi-blocks.
Castle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rugg sprawls well. Rugg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Castle gets slowly back to his feet.
Castle throws a jab when Rugg was well out of range.
Rugg drops his hands momentarily and Castle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Castle.
Matt Rugg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Castle.
Rugg tries to clinch up but Castle circles away and keeps his distance.
Rugg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Rugg will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Castle might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rugg jerks Castle's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Castle drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Rugg goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Rugg because Castle was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
