Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Goss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hatmake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goss comes to the cage accompanied by Absolute Zero: Define Neutral. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Goss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hatmake!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Goss with that takedown attempt.
Goss is looking to clinch.
Hatmake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hatmake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Goss is trying to stand up here but Hatmake is controlling him well.
Hatmake slips a nice elbow through Goss's hands, connecting with Goss's forehead.

Hatmake has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Goss is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hatmake wants a takedown but no success here.

Goss is pressed up against the cage. Hatmake has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Goss down to the mat. Goss avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Hatmake counters with a shoot takedown. Goss fights it but they end up in guard.

Goss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Goss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Goss wants to stand up but Hatmake is controlling the position.

Goss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hatmake is looking to improve his position but Goss isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goss shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hatmake but Hatmake pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Hatmake counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Goss!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goss is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hatmake is controlling him.

Goss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hatmake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mark Hatmake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hatmake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
