Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pumba Ottavainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harjan Varsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Varsi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hiski Salomaa - Tiskarin polkka. Harjan Varsi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pumba Ottavainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Harjan Varsi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varsi shoots in but Ottavainen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Varsi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ottavainen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Varsi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Varsi tries to bum rush Ottavainen with a series of wild strikes but Ottavainen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ottavainen throws a body kick that misses.
Varsi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ottavainen tries to land a front kick but Varsi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ottavainen tries to close the distance and clinch but Varsi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ottavainen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ottavainen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Varsi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Varsi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ottavainen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ottavainen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ottavainen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Varsi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Varsi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Ottavainen lands a jab to the head.
Ottavainen tries to move into range but Varsi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ottavainen darts in and clinches Varsi up against the cage.
Ottavainen misses with a knee strike.
Varsi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Varsi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Varsi tries to clinch but Ottavainen is having none of it.
Varsi is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Varsi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ottavainen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Ottavainen punishes Varsi's body with a nice straight punch.
Varsi scores with a jab to the body.
Ottavainen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Varsi's calf.
Varsi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ottavainen moves away.
Varsi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Ottavainen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Varsi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ottavainen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ottavainen rushes Varsi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A bit of stalling here from Ottavainen.

Ottavainen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Varsi blocks it with crossed arms.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Varsi.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ottavainen is looking to control Varsi's arms but Varsi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ottavainen has his back to the cage.

Varsi pushes Ottavainen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Ottavainen is breathing heavily.
Varsi misses with a body punch.
Varsi has had enough of the clinch but Ottavainen keeps him there for the moment.
Varsi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ottavainen's elbow.
Varsi lands a left hand.
Varsi managing to block the knees to the body from Ottavainen.
Varsi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Ottavainen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Varsi.
Ottavainen tries to land a knee to the head but Varsi blocks with his arms.
Varsi manages to break the clinch.
Varsi swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Ottavainen counters with a head kick. That will keep Varsi thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Ottavainen misses with a straight right.
Varsi connects with a crisp jab.

Varsi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Varsi misses with a low kick.
Varsi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ottavainen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ottavainen works the jab nicely.
Varsi throws a leg kick but Ottavainen moved away.
Ottavainen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Varsi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Varsi avoids a kick to the body.
Varsi looks to land a left hand but Ottavainen moved out of range nicely.
Ottavainen takes one to the side of the head.
Varsi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ottavainen.
Ottavainen is rocked!
Varsi ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Ottavainen's jaw. Ottavainen's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Varsi does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Harjan Varsi!
