PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andros Luboslaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Andros Luboslaw has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Andros Luboslaw seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andros Luboslaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dorian Brewster!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luboslaw tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brewster will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Luboslaw tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brewster paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Luboslaw lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Dorian Brewster has been cut.

Brewster manages to pull guard.
Luboslaw would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Brewster wants to sweep here but Luboslaw controlling him for the moment.

Brewster is working an open guard so Luboslaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Andros Luboslaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brewster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Brewster is looking for a kimura but Luboslaw is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brewster to get the leverage.

Luboslaw keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brewster sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Luboslaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brewster on the ground.
Brewster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Brewster stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brewster shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Luboslaw is squirming around, avoiding Brewster's attempts to control the action.
Brewster looking to control and managing it successfully.

I looks like Brewster might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Luboslaw is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Brewster controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brewster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Luboslaw napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Brewster is looking to take a break and control but Luboslaw is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dorian Brewster just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Luboslaw lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Luboslaw tries to clinch but Brewster moves away

and Brewster counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Luboslaw!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luboslaw in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Poor strikes thrown by Brewster there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Luboslaw is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Brewster has taken his back!

Brewster just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Brewster looking to break Luboslaw's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Luboslaw remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brewster will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Luboslaw is trying to get back to his feet but Brewster has full control of the position and if anything, Luboslaw has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Brewster thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Luboslaw is keeping busy.
Luboslaw is taking damage to the body and head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brewster is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Luboslaw has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Brewster throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Luboslaw is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Brewster is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Luboslaw clinches but Brewster breaks the clinch

and Brewster counters with a single leg into guard. Luboslaw didn't expect that.
Brewster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Brewster scoring with some ground and pound.
Dorian Brewster has got the better of the ground game so far.
Luboslaw can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brewster controls the pace.
Brewster trying to control the position from guard on top but Luboslaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brewster controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Luboslaw keeping full guard, as Brewster tries to pass.

Brewster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Luboslaw is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brewster, into his guard.

Luboslaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brewster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Luboslaw has managed to get both his arms back between Brewster's legs - danger averted.
Brewster takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Luboslaw trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brewster's guard.

Brewster manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Luboslaw tests Brewster's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Luboslaw wants to clinch but Brewster slips to the side

and Brewster counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Luboslaw is looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brewster throwing shots but Luboslaw is blocking nicely.
Brewster not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Andros Luboslaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brewster thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Brewster is taking a breather. Luboslaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dorian Brewster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Brewster winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
