Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Smiley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Fayaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smiley comes into the arena with Family Matter Theme blaring out of the sound system. Mr Smiley had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fayaj takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fayaj looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smiley is fending him off so far but Fayaj persists. Nope, Smiley circles away and we're back to standing.
Mr Smiley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fayaj is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Smiley defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Fayaj is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Smiley knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Smiley for a finish.

Smiley is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fayaj gets his way!

Fayaj has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Smiley has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
