Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between HOMEP CTO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Preved Medvedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Preved Medvedov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvedov swats away the attempt to clinch by CTO.

CTO takes the fight into the clinch.
Medvedov has CTO pressed against the cage, preventing CTO from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
CTO tries to pull guard but Medvedov won't allow it.

CTO drops down looking for an ankle pick but Medvedov pulls his leg out and moves away.
CTO dives in and grabs Medvedov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Medvedov pushes down on CTO's head and hops out.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

CTO has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Medvedov is proving hard to escape from.
CTO lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A close round but Preved Medvedov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

CTO tries for a takedown but Medvedov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Medvedov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Medvedov is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
CTO has a closed guard, preventing Medvedov from standing up.

Medvedov got a little sloppy there for a moment and CTO has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Medvedov has managed to get both his arms back between CTO's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
CTO is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

CTO working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Medvedov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but CTO is tightening it up a little... Medvedov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Medvedov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Medvedov taps out! nice BJJ there by CTO!
