Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Ethan Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Petrozian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Cruz does no damage.
Cruz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Petrozian was well out of range. Poor timing from Cruz.

Petrozian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to avoid it but Petrozian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cruz to the ground. Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Petrozian avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cruz throws a right hand that Petrozian ducks under and follows up with a left that Petrozian also avoids with ease.

Petrozian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Petrozian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Petrozian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cruz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Petrozian is controlling him.

Petrozian drops back looking for a leg! Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruz manages to kick Petrozian off! Petrozian jumps back into Cruz's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Petrozian thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cruz wants to stand and escape but Petrozian is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Petrozian closes the distance and clinches up with Cruz, looking for a takedown. Petrozian pushes Cruz against the cage but Cruz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cruz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrozian moves away.
Petrozian gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Petrozian tries to close the distance and clinch but Cruz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cruz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Cruz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Petrozian stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cruz stalks Petrozian and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Petrozian's face. Petrozian staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cruz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
