Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaze Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redd's entrance music is We Will Rock You. A fine choice. Hastings is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blazin Hazen - Avarage Homeboy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Redd.

Hastings stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hastings wants it to stay on the feet.
Redd shoots in for a double leg but Hastings sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Redd throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hastings escapes and throws Redd's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hastings thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hastings stands up.
Redd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hastings.
Hastings darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Redd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hastings as he avoids it easily.

Hastings moves into range and clinches up with Redd.
Redd is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hastings pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Redd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hastings's waist but Hastings gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Redd off to one side.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hastings - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
