Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, crash punch!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, punch master!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
master rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but punch moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

punch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in master's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

master wriggles free and stands up.
master looks gassed!
master tries to close the distance and clinch up but punch swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd cheers as master lands an impressive looking overhand right. punch doesn't seem phased though.
punch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. master defends it nicely.

master swings wildly with an uppercut but punch uses good head movement to avoid it.
punch tries a knee to the head but master blocks it.
punch lands a left hand that snaps the head of master backwards.

punch drops back looking for a leg! master is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and master manages to kick punch off! punch jumps back into master's guard.

master is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

master swings wildly with an uppercut but punch uses good head movement to avoid it.
punch digs a right hand into master's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on master's gas tank.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that crash punch will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

punch master seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and punch counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

master fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. punch sprawls well initially but master persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
punch is refusing to be controlled, as master sits in half guard.

master manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. punch manages to get himself to full guard.
