Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between heavy master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and big guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). master has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. heavy master looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, big guy!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
master stuffs the takedown attempt from guy. guy gets slowly back to his feet.

guy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
master is breathing heavily.
guy blocks the strikes from master.
master keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
master trying to control from the bottom.
master is not content to let guy control the position.
master tries to push off, looking to stand up, but guy manages to move to mount!

guy is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

guy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from master as guy shoots in.
master tries to clinch but fails miserably
and guy counters with a body kick.
guy closes the distance and clinches up with master, looking for a takedown. guy pushes master against the ropes but master circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

guy avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

and guy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in master's guard.
master is trying to control the position but guy postures up.
guy wants to control from the top but master keeps moving.

master pulls guy in close to his closed guard and prevents guy from doing any damage or advancing position.
guy passes easily into side control. Nice work.

guy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by master, who protects the arm well.
master prevents guy from moving into mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
master is not content to let guy control the position.

master sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
master gets back to full guard.
guy looking to pass the guard.
guy trying to control the position from guard on top but master is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
master is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

guy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
master throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so guy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
master keeping moving, preventing guy from controlling successfully.
guy stops master from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

big guy dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

guy moves into the clinch.
guy can't get the takedown.
master has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. guy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
guy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as master walks away with a smile on his face. guy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

master defends well against a solid takedown attempt from guy.
guy shoots in for a takedown but master shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and guy counters with a nice double leg into guard.
guy lands a couple of elbows.
guy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
master is trying to control the position from the bottom.
master looking for a sweep. Not yet master, not yet.

master trying to keep a closed guard but guy is proving a slippery customer.
guy trying to control but master is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now master is on top in guard.
master postures up.
guy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. master doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. master manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
master wants to control but guy is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if guy can do anything to dispel that myth.
guy wants to get back to full guard.
guy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of master's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take master's back!
guy tries to keep control of the position but master is staying busy.
guy lands strikes to the head.

master is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
big guy has got the better of the ground game so far.
guy has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for master.
guy thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
guy misses with an elbow to the head.
master trying to control the position but guy manages to sink in the hooks.
master looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
master might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
master looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
master is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
guy has master flattened out and is raining down punches.
guy wants to control but master is keeping busy.

guy is looking for the choke from the back position but master is controlling his hands well.
master manages to reverse the position and now he's in guy's guard. Nice work there by master.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
master doesn't manage to clinch there - guy circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - guy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
master misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from guy.

big guy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

master has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of guy is proving hard to escape from.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

guy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

master is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

guy looking to hit a scissor sweep but master is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
master is really struggling to control guy but he's trying to hold on to the position.
master is fighting to break guy's control of his arms but guy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from guy is defended easily by master.
guy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but master avoids it really well and circles away.

and master counters with a series of strikes. guy will be more careful next time no doubt.

guy shoots for a double leg takedown but master sprawls well. He's pushed guy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
