Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Putzillini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Massive Attack - One thought at a time. Putzillini has chosen Battle March Medley as his entrance music. James Scott is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 2, fighting out of New York, James Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Putzillini!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putzillini staying out of range there.
Scott looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Putzillini is fending him off so far but Scott persists. Nope, Putzillini circles away and we're back to standing.
Scott cracks Putzillini with a right hand to the side of the head.
Putzillini slips a straight right by Scott.
Scott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Putzillini sprawls well. Putzillini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Scott gets slowly back to his feet.
Scott throws a shot from downtown. Putzillini moves away and avoids it.
Scott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Putzillini as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Putzillini defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Scott.
Scott lands with a hook. Putzillini tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Putzillini.

Scott has Putzillini up against the cage in a clinch.

Scott is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Putzillini can't fight it off and eventually Scott manages to take the fight to the floor. Putzillini looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Putzillini is on top in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Putzillini decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Scott, up you get!
Scott tries to clinch up but Putzillini circles away and keeps his distance.
Scott swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Putzillini.
Putzillini stuffs the takedown.

Putzillini lands a left and a right that send Scott crashing to the mat, dazed. Putzillini thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Scott throws the left hand but Putzillini avoids the punch easily.
Scott misses with a body punch
enabling Putzillini to counter with a crisp jab.

A slow jab from Scott misses its intended target.
Putzillini throws a nice looking combination but Scott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Scott fails with a takedown attempt.

Putzillini throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Putzillini defending well as Scott loads up on a big left hand.
A big right from Scott misses.
Putzillini misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Scott.
Scott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Putzillini but Putzillini pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Putzillini takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Scott gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Putzillini counters with a straight right hand.
Scott throws a shot from downtown. Putzillini moves away and avoids it.

Putzillini throws a right and a left that Scott avoids nicely.
Putzillini lands a lovely overhand right.
Scott darts in trying to clinch
and Putzillini counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Putzillini misses with a wild body shot.
Scott fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Putzillini takes one on the button.

Scott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Putzillini dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Putzillini bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Scott ducks right into an uppercut from Putzillini.
Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Putzillini sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rocky Putzillini seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Putzillini stuns Scott with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Putzillini cracks Scott with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Putzillini has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Scott to stand back up!
Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott misses with an uppercut.
Putzillini scores with a shot to the body.

Putzillini rushes Scott and presses him up against the cage.
Scott seems to have got his legs back now.
Putzillini scores with a hook to the body.

Putzillini breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Scott walks into a left hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Putzillini ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Scott takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Putzillini rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Putzillini listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Putzillini knocks Scott out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rocky Putzillini!
