The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrenton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wrenton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Joe gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wrenton.
It looks like Big Joe has been cut.
Wrenton throws a series of punches but Joe avoids them all with ease.
A left lands for Wrenton.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wrenton.

Joe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Wrenton tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Joe avoids it.
Wrenton has Joe pressed against the cage, preventing Joe from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Joe shoots for a double leg takedown but Wrenton sprawls well. He's pushed Joe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Joe is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wrenton is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Joe.

Big Joe's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Joe slips under a jab from Wrenton.
Wrenton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Joe on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Big Joe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
