The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Passalaqua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Balcita circles away.
Horrible takedown by Passalaqua or perhaps it was just good defense by Balcita which made him look bad.
Balcita lands the left hand.
Passacantando Passalaqua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Passalaqua shoots in for a takedown but Balcita shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jay Balcita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Passacantando Passalaqua.
Passalaqua shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Balcita but Balcita pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Balcita dances in with a quick combination. Passalaqua is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Balcita snaps Passalaqua's head back. Passalaqua stumbles backwards against the cage. Balcita steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Passalaqua's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Passalaqua just didn't come prepared.
