Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Hawke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawke is looking to clinch but Gomi is avoiding it.

Hawke tries for a takedown but Gomi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Gomi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hawke is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gomi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hawke's back instead.
Hawke breaks Gomi's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gomi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hawke misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gomi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hawke escapes and throws Gomi's legs to the side, diving into side control!

No joy there for Hawke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hawke shoots in but Gomi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hawke.

Gomi is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gomi extends the arm and Hawke is forced to tap!
