Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derrek Kennemore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox comes into a darkened arena with his song building. All My Life - Foo Fighters kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Derrek Kennemore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derrek Kennemore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Fox!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennemore dives in and grabs Fox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fox pushes down on Kennemore's head and hops out.
Fox looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kennemore closes the distance and pushes Fox back into the cage.
Fox is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kennemore is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fox to the mat. Fox regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Kennemore postures up in Fox's guard and throws a big left but Fox blocks it.
Fox wants to stand up but Kennemore is controlling him.

Kennemore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kennemore stands and steps away. Fox gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fox misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fox takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kennemore shoots in looking for a takedown. Fox tries to sprawl out of it but Kennemore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fox throws a sloppy head kick
and Kennemore counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Kennemore passes the guard and advances to mount!

Fox tries to buck Kennemore off but Kennemore takes his back!

Kennemore lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Kennemore keeps control of the position as Fox tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kennemore is hanging on to Fox's back as he tries to escape.
Fox grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Kennemore cracks Fox with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Fox from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Fox covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Fox is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kennemore has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
