Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boba Fettucini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Pozzi!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Pozzi.
Pozzi's corner calls for a 1-2. Pozzi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pozzi lands a nice hook to Fettucini's body. Fettucini takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pozzi connects with a crisp jab.
Nice takedown defense from Pozzi. No joy for Fettucini on that attempt.
Pozzi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fettucini manages to avoid it.

Pozzi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Pozzi sizes up Fettucini with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Pozzi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Fettucini shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pozzi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fettucini is breathing heavily.

Fettucini trying to control but Pozzi is having none of it.
Pozzi is looking to improve his position but Fettucini isn't that keen on the idea.

Pozzi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fettucini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fettucini has hold of Pozzi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pozzi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Fettucini goes for an armbar but Pozzi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pozzi.
Pozzi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Fettucini is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pozzi is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pozzi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fettucini's hands.

Pozzi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Fettucini throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A combination from Pozzi does no damage.

Fettucini throws the kick towards the body but Pozzi avoids it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fettucini regains full guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pozzi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Pozzi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Fettucini clinches with his opponent.

Fettucini manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Fettucini pushes Pozzi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fettucini takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

It looks like Boba Fettucini has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pozzi is looking to sweep but instead, Fettucini has passed into half guard.

Pozzi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fettucini seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pozzi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fettucini seems to be working for a kimura but Pozzi defends the submission attempt.

Fettucini is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pozzi is just riding it out for now. Fettucini eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fettucini slips nicely into half guard.

Fettucini is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pozzi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pozzi wants to control from the top but Fettucini keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ricardo Pozzi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fettucini shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fettucini showed some decent athleticism there.

Fettucini is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pozzi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fettucini.

Fettucini's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pozzi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fettucini stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fettucini tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pozzi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pozzi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Pozzi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pozzi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fettucini avoids it really well and circles away.
Pozzi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fettucini rather than just go for the knockout.
Fettucini throws a right and a left that Pozzi avoids nicely.

Pozzi throws a lazy right hand but Fettucini sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Fettucini shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pozzi as he jumps to the side.
Pozzi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fettucini moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pozzi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Pozzi misses with the combination.
Fettucini looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fettucini shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pozzi sprawls well. Pozzi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fettucini gets slowly back to his feet.
Boba Fettucini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pozzi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fettucini has time to react.

Fettucini takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ricardo Pozzi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pozzi stalks Fettucini and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fettucini's face. Fettucini staggers backwards, shaken.

Pozzi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fettucini avoids it really well and circles away.

Ricardo Pozzi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pozzi winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
