Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mcgrady looks for the body kick but Rua saw that one coming.
mcgrady tries to clinch up.
mcgrady misses with a series of wild punches.

Rua takes the fight into the clinch.
mcgrady tries for a takedown. No joy.
mcgrady has had enough of the clinch but Rua keeps him there for the moment.

It looks like tracy mcgrady has been cut.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rua obliges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
mcgrady jumps guard but Rua stands there with mcgrady around his waist. mcgrady gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rua stalling the fight.
Rua pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
mcgrady attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua gets a clinch.
mcgrady looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Rua gets control of mcgrady's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rua will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
mcgrady content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rua has locked up a guillotine! Rua's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? mcgrady is holding on here and Rua must be using up a lot of energy. mcgrady has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rua gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
