Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biggy Times (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biggy Times has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Biggy Times!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Bader!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Times closes the distance and pushes Bader back into the cage.

Times has clasped his hands together around Bader's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Times lands an elbow.
Bader is not content to let Times control the position.
Times working the head with strikes.
Times controls the position from side control.
Times tries to advance to mount but can't.
Times has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Times controlling the pace for now.

Times is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bader has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bader is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bader tries to hold on but Times pushes him away.

Times stands up from mount. Strange move.

Times moves into the clinch.
Bader prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bader should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Times breaks from the clinch.

Bader drives through with a takedown into guard.
Times is breathing heavily.
Bader wants to pass the guard but Times is keeping the position.
Times trying to keep a closed guard but Bader is proving a slippery customer.
Times preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bader throwing strikes from guard but Times blocks nicely.
Times wants to hit a switch here but Bader passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Times there!
Bader throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Times really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bader throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Times because Bader loaded up on that one.

Bader gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Bader shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Times sprawls well. Times wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bader gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Times misses with an uppercut.
Bader shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Biggy Times has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Bader.
No luck for Bader with that takedown attempt.
Times shoots for a takedown but Bader saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bader thuds his right hand into Times's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Times counters with a head kick. That will keep Bader thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Times holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bader goes for a takedown attempt but Times pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Biggy Times dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bader stuffs the takedown attempt from Times. Times gets slowly back to his feet.
Bader is looking to clinch.
Bader keeps the fight on the outside.
Danga de danga de dang - Bader scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Biggy Times has been cut.

Bader gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bader lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Times!
Times really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Times is squirming around, avoiding Bader's attempts to control the action.
Bader throws some wild stikes that Times manages to avoid easily.
Bader unloads with some shots from mount but Times bucks and avoids them well.
Bader tries to control but Times wriggling away.
Times is trying desperately to improve position.

Bader is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Times can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Times is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Times is working hard here to advance position.
Bader thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Times tries to hold on but Bader postures up.
Times is looking to get to half guard.
Bader trying to control but Times is having none of it.
Times tries to lock up and control but Bader gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Times prevents Bader from taking his back.
Times blocking the ground and pound.
Times tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bader wants to take Times's back here but Times is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Times manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Bader works his way into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Times regains half guard.
Times trying to control from the bottom.

Bader is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Times has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bader prevents Times from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Times misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Times is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Bader showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Biggy Times's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Times counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Times.

Times decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bader, up you get!

and Times counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Times stands and steps away. Bader gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Times counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Decent striking displayed by Bader there.

Times moves into range and clinches up with Bader.
Times tries to pull guard but Bader holds him up against the cage and eventually Times drops back down to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Times is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bader is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Times to the mat. Times regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Times is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bader is controlling him.
Times keeping moving, preventing Bader from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Times keeping full guard, as Bader tries to pass.
Biggy Times overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Times is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bader accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bader trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bader has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Times is proving hard to escape from.
Bader stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Times swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Times counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bader won't be happy with that.
Times advances to mount.

Times wants to finish this one by submission but Bader is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Times.
Times looking to control but Bader is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bader is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Times content just to control the position here.

Times working for a submission but Bader is keeping him at bay.

Bader regains half guard.
Times controlling the pace.

Times looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bader regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Times won't allow Bader to sweep him here.
Times wants to control from the top but Bader keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Times wants to pass the guard but Bader is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Biggy Times showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Times has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
