Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Natural Born Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Amos Moses - Jerry Reed. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimbo Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Natural Born Killer!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Killer off to one side.
Johnson thows a left - swing and a miss!

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Killer sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Johnson prevents Killer from improving his position.

Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Killer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Still in half guard, Johnson seems content to control.

Killer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Johnson is taking a breather. Killer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jimbo Johnson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Johnson manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Killer is in trouble now - Johnson has advanced to mount!

Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Natural Born Killer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimbo Johnson.
Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
