Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brunoo Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Svetserson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brunoo Xavier is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svetserson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Svetserson wants it to stay on the feet.
Xavier takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Svetserson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Xavier circles away quickly and effectively.

Svetserson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Svetserson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Xavier has a closed guard, preventing Svetserson from standing up.
Svetserson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Xavier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Xavier had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Svetserson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Xavier Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Svetserson's back instead.

Svetserson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Xavier swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Xavier is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Svetserson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Svetserson.

Svetserson wants to sweep here but Xavier controlling him for the moment.
Xavier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Svetserson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Xavier wants to finish this one by submission but Svetserson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Xavier.
Svetserson tries to lock up and control but Xavier gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Xavier is going olschool here, as he tries to force Svetserson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Svetserson shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Xavier has hold of Svetserson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Svetserson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Xavier jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Svetserson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Svetserson and Xavier has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Xavier has his foot on Svetserson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Svetserson works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Svetserson connects with a nice short shot to Xavier's temple.
Brunoo Xavier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
