Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by George Straits- The Fireman. Dan Liddell could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Virgil Earp's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgil Earp!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell throws a chopping leg kick but Earp manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Earp avoids a kick to the body.
Earp uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Liddell.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Earp lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Liddell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Liddell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Liddell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Earp looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Earp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Liddell paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Earp ducks straight into an uppercut from Liddell and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Earp manages to regain guard straight away.

A big strike lands for Liddell! That's really hurt Earp and he's turned his back - Liddell keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Liddell Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
