Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andersen Silvesk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny De La Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De La Rosa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Why Can't We Be Friends? kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Danny De La Rosa has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andersen Silvesk's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvesk has De La Rosa up against the cage in a clinch.

De La Rosa lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Silvesk looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silvesk wants to control but De La Rosa is keeping busy.
Silvesk is controlling De La Rosa's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Silvesk is looking to control De La Rosa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silvesk avoid being mounted?
De La Rosa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
De La Rosa is keen to just control but Silvesk is a slippery customer.
Silvesk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

De La Rosa is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Silvesk still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Silvesk has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
De La Rosa is looking for a sweep.

Silvesk tries to move into full mount but can't pass De La Rosa's legs.

Silvesk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Silvesk in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silvesk tries to move to full mount but De La Rosa actually manages to regain half guard.
Silvesk trying to control from half guard but De La Rosa is working away.

Silvesk wants to pass to mount but De La Rosa is defending the position.
Silvesk is looking to pass De La Rosa's guard but actually De La Rosa recovers to full guard.

De La Rosa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silvesk is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. De La Rosa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silvesk's back instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silvesk is in bad spot here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silvesk turns into De La Rosa and is now in his guard.
Silvesk wants to get up but he can't break De La Rosa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

De La Rosa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silvesk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silvesk trying to control but De La Rosa is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny De La Rosa dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


No luck for De La Rosa with that takedown attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Silvesk.

De La Rosa tries to keep at a distance but Silvesk has taken the fight into the clinch.
De La Rosa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silvesk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Silvesk lands an elbow just above De La Rosa 's eye.
Silvesk lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Silvesk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from De La Rosa.
Andersen Silvesk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny De La Rosa.
De La Rosa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silvesk scores with a knee to the head.

Silvesk lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Silvesk lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Silvesk lands a knee to the head.

Silvesk manages to break the clinch.

Silvesk clinches.
Silvesk connects with a nasty looking knee right to De La Rosa's face.

Silvesk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Silvesk! De La Rosa is out on his feet! Silvesk rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - De La Rosa is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! De La Rosa is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andersen Silvesk!
