Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pop Jonesy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pop Jonesy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marsh misses with a wild combination.
Jonesy misses with a takedown attempt - Marsh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jonesy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jonesy fails to land with a series of punches.
Marsh misses with a body kick.
Jonesy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marsh checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Marsh misses with a double jab
and Jonesy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Marsh misses with a combination
and Jonesy counters with a stiff right hand.

Jonesy forces Marsh back against the cage and clinches.
Jonesy keeps control of Marsh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jonesy.
A right hand to the body from Jonesy.
Jonesy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Marsh up against the cage.

Jonesy stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Jonesy throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Marsh blocks it with crossed arms.

Jonesy manages to break the clinch.
Jonesy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Marsh throws a jab but it's blocked by Jonesy.

Jonesy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marsh, pushing him back against the cage.

Marsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jonesy misses with a double jab.
Marsh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marsh is breathing heavily.

Jonesy scores with a takedown into Marsh's guard.
Jonesy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jonesy wants to pass the guard but Marsh is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jonesy passes into half guard.
Well, if Jonesy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jonesy wants to pass the guard but Marsh is defending well.
Jonesy winds up and cracks Marsh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Jonesy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Marsh looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jonesy stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Marsh to get to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marsh.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marsh walks into a left hand.
Jonesy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Marsh is out of range and Jonesy settles back down.
Jonesy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jonesy throws a leg kick but Marsh sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jonesy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jonesy lands a left and a right that send Marsh crashing to the mat, dazed. Jonesy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Marsh is rocked!


It looks like Joey Marsh has been cut.
Marsh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marsh checks a leg kick.
Marsh misses with a combination
and Jonesy counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Jonesy lands a left and a right that send Marsh crashing to the mat, dazed. Jonesy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Marsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jonesy connects with a solid leg kick.
Marsh seems to have got his legs back now.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jonesy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jonesy clinches up with Marsh and pushes him back against the cage.
Jonesy using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Marsh has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jonesy obliges.

Jonesy breaks the clinch.
Jonesy shoots in and drives through. Marsh sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pop Jonesy dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Marsh is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jonesy.
Jonesy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Jonesy throws a right hand that Marsh ducks under and follows up with a left that Marsh also avoids with ease.

Jonesy rushes Marsh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Marsh is looking to break free of the clinch but Jonesy has double underhooks.
Jonesy is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A frustrated look appears on Marsh's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jonesy works over Marsh's head and body with a nice combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jonesy misses with the combination.
Marsh looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Marsh avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jonesy.

Let's hope that Jonesy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marsh pushes Jonesy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jonesy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Pop Jonesy just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jonesy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Pop Jonesy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marsh looks to land a right hand but Jonesy moved out of range.

No joy there for Jonesy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jonesy in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pop Jonesy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jonesy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
