The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fertit shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ryan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ryan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fertit is looking to work some ground and pound but Ryan has wrist control.
Fertit throwing strikes but missing.
Fertit looking to pass the guard.
Ryan keeping moving, preventing Fertit from controlling successfully.
Fertit throwing strikes from guard but Ryan blocks nicely.

Fertit drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ryan dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fertit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Fertit working for a triangle but Ryan defends it easily.
Ryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fertit on the ground.

Fertit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ryan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ryan wants to control from the top but Fertit keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Fertit looking for a triangle here. Ryan is fighting it but it looks tight! Fertit pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ryan is tapping out - this one is all over!
