Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Matheus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Voax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voax comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Ripper kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Matheus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Voax!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matheus.
Matheus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Matheus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Voax napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Matheus is looking to take a break and control but Voax is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Matheus tries to move to mount but Voax blocks the move with his legs.
Voax is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Matheus has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Matheus stands up and beckons Voax to his feet.
Voax throws a shot to the body.
Voax scores with a one two! Matheus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Matheus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Voax napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Voax is trying to control Matheus's posture but Matheus avoids it.
Matheus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Matheus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Voax wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Voax stops Matheus from passing to mount.
Matheus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Voax knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Voax is trying to improve his position.
Voax is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Matheus is looking to take a break and control but Voax is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Voax clinches.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Matheus is working for takedown but Voax is calmly controlling the position for now.
Matheus is pressed up against the cage. Voax has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Matheus down to the mat. Matheus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A right-left combo lands from Voax.
Matheus takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Matheus is breathing heavily.
Voax scores with a head kick.
Voax stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dante Matheus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Voax lands a jab-cross combination.
Voax works over Matheus's head and body with a nice combination.
Voax closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Voax throws a half hearted mid kick.
Matheus on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Matheus takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Voax cracks a nice hook into Matheus's ribs.
Matheus is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Voax.
Matheus is rocked!

Voax moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Voax throws a series of strikes that have Matheus backpedaling.
Oh Matheus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Voax is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Matheus hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jamie Voax!
