Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pop Jonesy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage has chosen "Can't Be Touched" by Roy Jones Jr. as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jonesy circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jonesy avoids it really well and circles away.

It looks like Alexander Cage has been cut.

Cage is bucking up trying to escape but Jonesy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jonesy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jonesy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
