Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between babak thado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, babak thado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilson.
thado is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on thado's face as Wilson controls the position.
thado manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
thado looks like he's trying to stand up.

Wilson decides to stand and escape the position.

Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

thado looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
thado is breathing heavily.
thado looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wilson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
thado tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
Wilson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Wilson controlling the pace for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I looks like Wilson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wilson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But thado has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from thado!
thado trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.
Wilson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Nick Wilson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
thado misses with a takedown

and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. thado fights it but they end up in guard.
thado being controlled here, momentarily.
thado is trying to keep Wilson in close.
Wilson looking to sit in guard and control but thado gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
thado working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

thado throws a head kick that misses.
thado is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

thado is trying to stand.
thado is trying to maintain the position but Wilson is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wilson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
thado manages to get to full guard.
thado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wilson stays in close to thado's body and controls the position.
thado has his hands on Wilson's head, controlling the position.
thado looking for a sweep. Not yet thado, not yet.

thado pushes Wilson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wilson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

thado wants to get back to his feet.
thado is trying to control but can't.
thado is pressing down on Wilson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now thado is on top in guard.
thado advances position into side control!

thado decides to stand back up.

Wilson feints and as thado raises his hands in defense, Wilson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
thado is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wilson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wilson won't allow thado to sweep him here.
Wilson stays in close to thado's body and controls the position.
Wilson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wilson trying to stand up but can't free himself from thado's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that babak thado will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into side control. thado won't be happy with that.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
thado tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
thado tries to pull guard but Wilson won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for babak thado. That's going to take a lot out of him.

thado wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wilson trying to stall but thado improves his position.
Wilson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wilson fails to pull guard.
Wilson tries to land knees in the clinch but thado avoids the damage to the body.
Wilson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but thado is keeping busy.
Wilson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. thado is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Wilson has thado pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. thado manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

thado works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wilson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
thado in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wilson has one foot on thado's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

thado tries to clinch but Wilson is having none of it.

and Wilson counters with a single leg into guard. thado didn't expect that.

thado keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully.

thado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wilson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of thado's head.
Wilson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
thado manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilson manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wilson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

thado trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but thado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wilson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Nick Wilson.
I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
