Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Pritchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Who Dat by Young Jeezy. Richard Pritchard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richard Pritchard!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pritchard looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones throws the left hand but Pritchard avoids the punch easily.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pritchard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones working for submissions but it's allowed Pritchard to get to half guard.
Jones wants to sweep but Pritchard has passed to side control!
Jones gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jones trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Pritchard looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Pritchard working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pritchard looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pritchard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jones!
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Pritchard is retaining full guard.
Jones pushes down on Pritchard's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pritchard has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jones wants to take a breather but Pritchard is having none of it.
Pritchard tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pritchard has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pritchard is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Jones is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Jones looking to secure an arm triangle but Pritchard defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pritchard is working to get back to half guard.
Jones looking to control but Pritchard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones lands a heavy elbow.
Pritchard wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pritchard looks gassed!
Pritchard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Pritchard closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Pritchard pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.


It looks like Richard Pritchard has been cut.
Pritchard shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Pritchard slips the punch.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Pritchard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Curtis Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Pritchard.

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pritchard did well to prevent Jones getting side control.
Pritchard is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
Jones is looking to advance position but Pritchard won't allow it.
Pritchard is breathing heavily.

Pritchard wants to get back to his feet.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Pritchard is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pritchard moves away from the strike by Jones.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Pritchard slips the punch.

The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Pritchard which made him look bad.

Jones wants to control the pace but Pritchard is squirming around nicely.

Jones stands up from mount. Strange move.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jones is going olschool here, as he tries to force Pritchard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pritchard shrugs it off.

Jones with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pritchard can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pritchard is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

Jones gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Pritchard with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.
Jones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

Jones catches Pritchard with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Pritchard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pritchard's guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Pritchard keeps moving.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pritchard, up you get!
Pritchard has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Pritchard backing up. Pritchard nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
Curtis Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pritchard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pritchard gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Jones has control of Pritchard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pritchard regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jones content just to control the position here.
Jones takes Pritchard's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Pritchard is in trouble.
Jones lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Pritchard hold on?!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pritchard turns into Jones and is now in his guard.
Pritchard wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones passes to side control.
Jones in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pritchard gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jones throws a hook but Pritchard blocks it.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pritchard can do to turn this around?
Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Pritchard's head back.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pritchard prevents Jones from taking his back.
Jones works his way to his opponent's back.
The referee is taking a good look at Pritchard as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Jones!

Jones gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
