Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan Sky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett has chosen Bad To the Bone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sky takes one on the button.

Sackett clobbers Sky with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sky moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sky throws a shot from downtown. Sackett moves away and avoids it.

The fighters circling - Sackett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sackett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sky.

Sackett pulls Sky in close to his closed guard and prevents Sky from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sackett is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sky, into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sackett closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Sky counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Sky closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sackett did well to prevent Sky getting side control.

Sackett wants to stand and escape but Sky is having none of it.
Sackett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sky!

Sackett lands a nice shot to the head.
Sky is working to get back to half guard.
Sackett cracks Sky with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Logan Sky will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Sackett stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sackett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sky is trying to defend but Sackett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sackett swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sky is now in Sackett's guard. A big mistake from Sackett there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sackett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sky manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sky is on top in guard.
