The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
haight is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nesbitt.

Nesbitt closes the distance and pushes haight back into the cage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nesbitt doesn't manage to clinch there - haight circles away.

Nesbitt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. haight can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
haight tries to reverse the position but Nesbitt maintains control.

Nesbitt swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and haight is now in Nesbitt's guard. A big mistake from Nesbitt there, giving up the dominant position!

Nesbitt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. haight is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nesbitt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take haight's back instead.
haight tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nesbitt wants to control the pace but haight is squirming around nicely.
