Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between barry bonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mrs gusberti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mrs gusberti looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, mrs gusberti!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

gusberti closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - gusberti lands in his opponent's guard.
bonds working a defensive guard here.
gusberti must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

gusberti postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! bonds is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of gusberti, into his guard.
bonds is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

gusberti has an active guard here but bonds has managed to pass into half guard.
gusberti looks gassed!

Still in half guard, bonds seems content to control.
bonds is pressing down on gusberti's thigh, looking to free his foot. gusberti is holding on for now.
bonds wants to lay and pray for a moment but gusberti keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
bonds is controlling the pace.
gusberti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with bonds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
gusberti keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
bonds tries to pass to full mount but gusberti defends it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
bonds moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from gusberti.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
gusberti is not content to let bonds control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee stands the fighters back up. barry bonds just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

bonds shoots in and bounces gusberti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
bonds wants to control from the top but gusberti keeps moving.
bonds's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

bonds fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with gusberti, pushing him back against the cage.
bonds is trying to work for a single leg takedown but gusberti pulls him back up using the underhooks.
gusberti tries to score a body lock takedown but bonds shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
gusberti changes levels and goes for a takedown here. bonds fights it off and pushes away nicely.

bonds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

bonds works a leg free and moves into half guard.

bonds is looking for a kimura but gusberti is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for bonds to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It looks like bonds is going to stand back up.

bonds decides to return to a standing position.
A nice combination there by bonds.
gusberti tries for a takedown but bonds circles away easily

and bonds counters by moving into the clinch.
barry bonds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mrs gusberti.
gusberti controlling the action here for a moment.
bonds goes for a takedown attempt but gusberti pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
gusberti misses with a takedown
and bonds counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. gusberti is lucky that one didn't land flush.
gusberti fails with the takedown
and bonds counters with a series of strikes. gusberti will be more careful next time no doubt.

gusberti wants to work for an arm triangle but bonds is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
bonds tries to roll over but gusberti keeps him under control.
gusberti blocks the strikes from bonds.

gusberti seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. bonds is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
