PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Queens of the Stone Age - Goin Out West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Jones!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Savage swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Savage moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Savage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Savage parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Savage to escape.

Jones advances nicely into full mount.
Jones connects with a bit shot that sees Savage covering up! More strikes from Jones and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Jones is our winner by TKO!
