Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wiley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freedom comes to the cage accompanied by Star Spangled Banner. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freedom misses with a head kick.

Freedom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wiley sprawls well initially but Freedom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Freedom seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wiley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wiley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
