PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Kingsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). North comes to the cage accompanied by 'Mr. Roboto' by Styx. Freddy Kingsley told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

North closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kingsley avoids a wild elbow strike from North.

Kingsley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kingsley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but North circles away quickly and effectively.

Kingsley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around North's waist but North gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kingsley off to one side.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts North, as that shot connected.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kingsley crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from North - the referee stops the clock and Kingsley gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says North. Kingsley manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
