Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micki Pikey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Pappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pappa has chosen DJ Icey - The One as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micki Pikey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Pappa!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikey lands with a shot to the body.

Pappa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pikey to the mat! Pikey manages to get full guard.
Pappa is standing up over Pikey. Pikey looks to escape but Pappa dives into side control.
Pikey tries to bench press Pappa off him but Pappa keeps the position.
Pikey sneaks back into half guard.
Pappa trying to control the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pappa connects with a nice short shot to Pikey's temple.

Pappa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pikey to stand up.
Pikey cracks a nice hook into Pappa's ribs.
Pappa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pikey pinned against the cage. Pikey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pikey lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pikey.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pikey rushes Pappa and presses him up against the cage.
Pappa drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pappa lands a takedown into guard.
Pikey is looking to stand up but Pappa isn't so interested in that idea.
Pappa wants to control from the top but Pikey keeps moving.

Pikey had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pappa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pikey Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pappa's back instead.
Pappa is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pappa wants to control his opponent's hands but Pikey gets his hands free.
Pappa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pikey kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Pappa rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Pikey prevents Pappa from improving his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pikey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pappa.
Micki Pikey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Pappa.
Pikey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pikey circles away from the clinch attempt
and Pikey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pappa with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pikey counters with a body kick.
Pappa looks gassed!
A punch combination from Pikey misses.
Pappa has his takedown stuffed
and Pikey counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Pappa takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Pikey's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pikey duly obliges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pappa doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pikey fails to land with a series of punches.

Pappa tries to keep at a distance but Pikey has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pikey is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on Pikey's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pappa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pikey pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pappa tries to clinch but Pikey moves away
and Pikey counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pappa thinking.
Left hook, right uppercut from Pikey.
Pikey scores with a head kick.
Pikey throws a combination. Pappa tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Pappa is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pikey rushes Pappa with punches - Pappa moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Pappa goes down! Pikey follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
